Moreton-in-Marsh
06.07.21

The Cotswold town of Moreton-in Marsh is the place poet Julie Allan has chosen for the cafe’s poetry series ‘Terrain’. Julie is a Gloucestershire-based writer and chartered psychologist whose non-fiction work includes chapters on gestalt, ethics and professional practice, and a book about stories and tales in organisational life. A former print journalist, editing and writing for Radio Times, she has at last turned attention to her poetry and prose. Julie has work published in Graffiti, and Steel Jackdaw and was a GWN competition-winning poet at the 2016 Cheltenham Literature Festival. She is particularly pleased to have a poem exhibited in an East Sussex garden, loving how site-specific works can add an unexpected and playful dimension to a space. To listen to Julie reading ‘Moreton-in-Marsh’ click here or on the photo image above. To download a written pdf version of the poem plus previously published work in the ‘Terrain’ series, click on the e-book button on the poetry page or here.
