A Different Land by Frank McMahon
Frank McMahon’s poem ‘A Different Land’ combines two of his enthusiasms – hiking and poetry. It’s an account of an emotional journey across the stretch of Wainwright’s Coast to Coast path that runs from Kirkby Stephens in Cumbria to Keld in North Yorkshire. Frank’s first volume of poems, ‘At the Storm’s Edge’, was published in January 2020 and his work has been Highly Commended in two national poetry competitions. He’s been invited to read at this year’s Cheltenham Poetry Festival and will be performing on July 19th.
